Welcome to my blog! My name is Mark Bolyard. I make my living helping webmasters and forum owners with their websites / forums, and running my own. It’s something I enjoy… helping people. I am married to my wife of 13 years, Angel, and we have 4 beautiful children.
In 1993, I started the GIFt Shoppe, a BBS (Bulletin Board System) which was linked with Fido-net. For those not familiar with what a BBS is, this was a system that allowed computer owners with a dial up Internet connection to communicate with other computers (a network of computers). The setup was very much like a forum. Members could send and receive messages, upload and download files, chat, etc.
In 2000, I started using the Internet. I learned html, and in 2001, created my first website, Londontowneguitars.com. It was a joint venture with my father in which we sold vintage guitars online. A few years later, I joined DNForum. It was here I learned about buying and selling domains, and where I became interested in forums. As I joined more forums, I noticed that the bulk of them utilized vBulletin as their choice of forum software.
I purchased a small vBulletin community called TalkvBulletin.com. There I spent countless hours helping others to improve their vBulletin communities. TalkvBulletin began to grow at a very fast pace, and started to occupy almost all of my family time. Rather than allow the community to suffer, I sold TalkvBulletin.com to John at vbSkinworks.com. Since then, it has changed hands again and seems that the community has been removed from the net for unknown reasons.
Currently I offer professional services to those that require them, so if you are in need of vBulletin services, SEO or other web related services, please don’t hesitate to contact me for availability and pricing.
